Roll, William G(1979). What next in survival research: I. Exploring issues and assumptions. Journal of Indian Psychology, 2(1), (pp. 3-6) Abstract Examines concepts in survival research such as the theta aspect of the self that continues after death and presumably includes the personality or consciousness of the person. In addition, there are the psi aspects of that person (ESP and psychokinetic connections to the physical and social environment) that are explored in psi research and that supposedly would be involved in communications after death. Theta research can be described as attempts to elucidate epistemological and ontological distinctions between these and other concepts. (4 ref)
