Abstract

M. Cole and F. Burd (1978) suggest that the present author and G. R. Lebo, in their paper on failure to validate the lunacy myth, analyzed their data and reported their results incorrectly. In reply, it is argued that Cole and Burd's criticisms, statistics, and conclusions are in error. However, while Cole and Burd's conclusions are rejected and their concerns about areas "bordering on parapsychology" are not shared, it is regretted that the original data were not communicated as clearly as intended.
