Rhine, Louisa E(1978). The psi process in spontaneous cases. Journal of Parapsychology, 42(1), (pp. 20-32)

Abstract

Notes that observations based on large numbers of unrepeated spontaneous psi experiences have led to deductions about the processes that must have caused them. Obviously the information they transmitted must somehow have become accessible to the psyche at an unconscious level. How this would happen is the basic unknown of parapsychology. From the unconscious level the information, it appears, is then transferred to consciousness by various psychological processes. They are distinguishable mainly by the presence or absence of imagery or, if imagery is present, by its specific form.
