Abstract

Discusses factors involved in deciding if a cure is due to a miracle (i.e., the direct action of God), including the 7 criteria laid down in the 18th century by Pope Benedict XIV. Research and data are needed that compare spontaneous remissions with miracles and that describe miraculous cures in other cultures and civilizations. (20 ref)
