Rogo, D Scott (1975). Some "musical" out-of-the-body experiences. Parapsychology Review, 6(1), (pp. 19-20) Abstract Individuals undergoing out-of-the-body experiences often report hearingmusic. 20 such incidents were categorized as being natural, i.e., takingplace during illness, near death, or in normal health vs being enforced-taking place during drowning and suffocation, deliberate projection, orunder anesthetics. Analysis of the music associated with each categoryshowed that during natural cases it was described as choruses andorchestras, of celestial regions, and very beautiful. During enforcedcases the music was described more flatly, not specifically related tochoruses and orchestras, and less often as beautiful.
