Coleman, M H (1974). "William Crookes to Charles Blackburn": Another letter. Journal of the Society for Psychical Research, 47(759), (pp. 306 -314) Abstract Criticizes T. H. Hall's investigation of W. Crookes in The Spiritualists (1962). The article discounts the validity of F. Cook's mediumship and considers whether, if it was indeed fraudulent, Crookes was implicated. Crookes is supported; it is contended that Hall assembled selective evidence and was probably deceived himself. A letter from Crookes is presented and its implications are discussed; other pertinent evidence is reconsidered.
