Krippner, S (1968). Experimentally-induced telepathic effects in hypnosis and non-hypnosis groups. Journal of the American Society for Psychical Research, (4), (pp. 387-398) Abstract 8 Ss were given posthypnotic suggestions to perceive randomly selected target material being transmitted telepathically during 3 experimental conditions: a trance in which images were evoked; a nap in which dreams and thoughts were recalled; and a week at home during which dream records were kept. 8 other Ss were members of a nonhypnosis group for which the experimental conditions were similar. When the Ss engaged in blind rating of their records against all the targets in the pool, significant ratings were assigned to the nonhypnosis group\'s correct targets for the 1st condition. When 3 outside judges rated the Ss\' records aganist the targets, significant ratings were assigned to the hypnosis group\'s correct targets for the 2nd condition and to the nonhypnosis group\'s correct targets for the 3rd condition.
