Zilberman, M. S. (1995). Public numerical lotteries-An international parapsychological experiment covering a decade: A data analysis of French and Soviet numerical lotteries.
Journal of the Society for Psychical Research, 60, (pp. 149-160).
Abstract
The results of public numerical lotteries were studied as a global experiment for investigating ESP abilities. Their attraction is that they afford a colossal statistical base which is totally independent of the investigator. A comparison of the True Predictions Density in the public numerical lotteries of France and the USSR with day-by-day planetary indices of Geomagnetic Activity from 1980-89 showed that:
- On days of low geomagnetic activity the true predictions density differs significantly from its density on days of high geomagnetic activity (p < 0.002).
- On days of low geomagnetic activity the true predictions density significantly exceeds chance expectation (p < 0.003).
- The true predictions density correlates significantly with geomagnetic activity on the draw days but not on the days before and after (p < 0.005).
