Medicine, 41(9), (pp. 1261-1271) Abstract Traces the history and goals of the
natural medicine (NM) movement from the Slovak point of view. The focus is
bioterapia, the Slovak language term for a kind of psychic healing that is
the exemplar of NM. The article draws the historical and conceptual
relationship between psychotronics (i.e., parapsychology), bioterapia (the
medical branch of psychotronics), and the NM project and describes the theory
and practice of bioterapia by lay healers and physicians. Bioterapia is a
form of electromagnetic healing which, in practice, manipulates the human
body\'s energy fields.
