Reinhart, Philip B (1995). Why Hudson\'s model is not better known. Journal of the American Society for Psychical Research, 89(3), (pp. 292-294)

Abstract

Comments on the discussion by J. Hinds of T. J. Hudson (1970,[1893]) model of the mind that explains subject and experimenter expectancy effects in parapsychology. Reinhart argues that Hudson\'s model has gone into obscurity because it is too optimistic and does not consider issues such as the ability of the objective mind to work with the will that frustrates ego control of psi powers. Reinhart also suggests possible ways of working with this will, including incorporating non-Western scientific methods (e.g., tribal customs) into psi research.
