Nathanson, James A (1965). Pseudo
significance in ESP research. Perceptual and Motor Skills, (3, Pt. 1),
(pp. 693-696) Abstract An investigation was
conducted that duplicated experimental procedures of the parapsychologists
and ensured true randomness through a mechanical analogue of ESP
card-matching experiments. Data similar to those in psychical research were
obtained with inanimate Ss, indicating that some previous proofs of ESP may
be attributed to improper experimental methods and not to nonrandom
conditions.
