Abstract

An attempt to survey the field of parapsychology. Man\'s supernormal capacities (e.g. clairvoyance, mental telepathy, extrasensory perception, automatic writing) are discussed and illustrated with anecdotal material. Leading studies of psi phenomena and interview-history data on Ss studied by the author are presented. Emphasizes the subjective nature of psi phenomena which militate against the use of conscious, objective methods of investigation typically associated with scientific studies; however, he believes that both approaches may complement each other in leading to future accomplishments. Key parapsychological terms are defined.
