McConnell, R A (1958). Scaled
measurement in psi research. Journal of Parapsychology, 22, (pp.
237-245) Abstract While parapsychological
research deals with a continuous function, most of the experimental methods
have made use of discontinuous observations. However, some investigators
have successfully introduced methods making use of graduated or scaled
measurements, such as the Fisk clock-card ESP test and the Forwald placement
PK procedure. These beginnings should encourage further efforts to use
scaled observations in parapsychology.
