Van
Busschbach, J G (1953). An investigation of extrasensory perception in school
children. Journal of Parapsychology, 17, (pp. 210-214) Abstract Primary school children in Holland were
used as subjects in classroom ESP tests. In some runs the test objects were
cards marked with arithmetic symbols, in others with colors, and in still
others with words. A total of 20,190 trials yielded a statistically
significant positive deviation from mean chance expectation. Among the three
kinds of test materials, only the results with the arithmetic symbols were
independently significant.
