Utts, Jessica(1989). Randomness and randomization tests: A reply to Gilmore. Journal of Parapsychology, 53(4), (pp. 345-351)

Abstract

Contends that J. B. Gilmore's (see record 1991-00002-001) paper is an attempt to explain away the significant results of parapsychological research by presenting a general attack on the concepts of randomness and classical statistical inference. Examples support the argument that Gilmore's paper is filled with statements that indicate a lack of understanding of statistical inference and/or psi research. Views are presented on randomness and randomization tests as applied to psi research.
