Abstract

Responds to the meta-analysis of S. J. Blackmore's (unpublished) ESP experiments by R. E. Berger (see record 1990-16035-001). Berger confined himself to the ESP experiments carried out over 10 yrs ago (between 1976 and 1978) for a doctoral dissertation. Responses are provided section by section, noting errors in dating experiments, confusion of one experiment with another, a false accusation (omitting a disclaimer from a published paper when it was included), or other unfounded accusations. It is asserted that Blackmore's work has been misrepresented. In spite of Berger's errors, it is agreed that one cannot draw conclusions about the reality of psi based on these experiments. The results are relevant to the problem of replicability in parapsychology.
