Palmer, John(1989). Confronting the experimenter effect: I. Parapsychology Review, 20(4), (pp. 1-4) Abstract Describes 3 major parapsychological frameworks that have been proposed to account for the influence of the experimenter effect (EE) on replicability. One framework suggests that the EE may be an artifact of the tendency of different experimenters to work with different S populations. There is also evidence suggesting that factors involving experimenter psychology, including nonverbal behavior, affect psi scoring. Another alternative interpretation of the EE involves psi input by the experimenter.
