Parapsychology Review, 19(3), (pp. 10-14) Abstract Discusses the concept of psi as it relates to motivations, based on the premise that psi is a neutral skill or ability. It is suggested that psi can be blocked from awareness by such motives as fears, defenses, or conflicts; occur in collaboration with other sources of information or abilities; or be highlighted as a characteristic of the persona when this serves motivational needs.
