von Lucadou, Walter, Lay, Barbara & Kunzmann, Heidi(1987). A multivariate PK experiment: II. Relationships between psychological variables. European Journal of Parapsychology, 6(4), (pp. 347-368) Abstract Measured psychological variables in a psychokinetic (PK) experiment with 4 questionnaires, including a newly designed sheep-goat questionnaire, a locus of control questionnaire, a personality questionnaire, and a mood scale. Except for the personality questionnaire, questionnaires were subjected to a factor analysis. The resulting factors were used as independent variables. A confidence score describing the S's assessment of his or her PK success in subsequent trials was used to describe the S's judgment abilities in relation to personality traits, present states, and belief-system and to predict PK success. Results indicate that the sheep -goat construct may be a valid variable, independent of most other personality variables, which indicates that personal experience of ESP seems to rely on genuine ESP rather than on belief system.
