Abstract

Discusses the controversies affecting the development of the Journal of Parapsychology. The journal's editorial policy, including its position regarding the validity of experimental and statistical techniques in parapsychology, is reviewed; and issues associated with charges of fraud by psychics, psychokinesis, ESP, spontaneous psychic phenomena, metaphysical and sociological implications of parapsychology, and book reviews in the journal are outlined.
