Schmidt, Helmut(1985). Addition effect for PK on prerecorded targets. Journal of Parapsychology, 49(3), (pp. 229-244) Abstract Conducted 3 experiments in which prerecorded binary events were exposed to 2 consecutive psychokinesis (PK) efforts, sometimes in the same target direction and sometimes in opposite target directions. In all 3 experiments, the author served as S, but in Exps II and III, a 27-yr-old female and a 24-yr-old male, respectively, served as controls to determine whether the 2 PK efforts would contribute equally to the outcome (the null hypothesis) or whether the 1st effort would have a stronger effect. Results reject the null hypothesis and suggest that the observation of the prerecorded events by the 1st S may lock in these events so that any subsequent PK attempt can have no effect. (5 ref)
