Abstract

Contends that occasionally papers are published in the parapsychological literature in which psychological, psychodynamic, or psychoanalytic theories are offered to account for the fact that most scientists still refuse to accept parapsychological phenomena (e.g., ESP) as established facts and parapsychology as a legitimate branch of science. It is argued that such papers, including the one by C. T. Tart (see record 1984-05511 -001), serve (or may serve) as problem killers and that such theories are only justified in rare cases.
