Johnson, Martin(1983). A technique for testing of the psi-field theory with some implications for survival research: I. Journal of the Society for Psychical Research, 52(795), (pp. 177 -188) Abstract Presents a methodology for testing the psi-field hypothesis outlined by W. G. Roll (1964) and attempts to render explanations of clairvoyance, telepathy, and precognition insufficient or unlikely. Focus is on whether a new type of "identification markings" of items in a blind-matching test could help delineate the boundary conditions not only for ESP but also for "super-ESP." This methodology might offer new possibilities for obtaining evidence for postmortem manifestations and for bringing survival research into a laboratory setting. (13 ref)
