Journal of Parapsychology, 46(4), (pp. 313-320) Abstract Gross deviations from normal scientific standards of debate in the controversy over psi suggest that they contain a strong unconscious emotional component. Two theories are offered and discussed: the social masking theory of psi inhibition and the primal conflict repression theory. (5 ref)
