Eisenbud, Ju & et al(1982). Some investigations of claims of PK effects on metal and film by Masuaki Kiyota: I. & II. & III. Journal of the American Society for Psychical Research, 76(3), (pp. 217-250) Abstract Several recent reports have indicated that Masuaki Kiyota, a 19-yr-old Japanese student, is able to distort metal paranormally and to influence Polaroid film by producing structured images on unexposed film in closed cameras. Three accounts are given of independent research with Masuaki in 1981 by 3 American research teams: by J. Eisenbud et al, Denver; M. Shafer and P. Phillips, McDonnell Laboratory for Psychical Research, Washington University; and by H. J. Keil et al, Division of Parapsychology, University of Virginia. Generally, the better-controlled tests of metal -bending and psychic photography were inconclusive or negative; but based on both formal and informal observations most of the investigators indicate that further work with Masuaki is justified and should be encouraged.
